Photograph caption dated November 10, 1955 reads, "Constructed at an estimated $548,237, this modern, air-conditioned building at Sylmar and Delano streets in Van Nuys will be officially opened to public following dedicatory ceremonies at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 22. Building will house two Municipal Courts, County Tax Assessor's office, County Marshal, County Probation Officer, Deputy District Attorney, Traffic Violation Bureau and Municipal Court Clerk. Dedication is being handled by Van Nuys Chamber of Commerce."
