Photograph article dated October 14, 1949 partially reads, "Toluca Lake community Church members will greet their new pastor Sunday when Rev. Sidney J. Lawson officially takes over ministerial duties there. The youthful pastor replaces Rev. Lloyd Taber who died two weeks ago. Rev. Taber had been associated with the Toluca Lake church only a short time before his death. A June graduate of the Boston University School of theology, Rev. Lawson arrived in the Valley yesterday. He was welcomed by members of the church's parsonage committee and the Ministerial Association." Note: Pictured is Rev. Lawson and his wife, the former Ruth Ballenger, daughter of Rev. Maurice G. Ballenger.
