Description
Manuscript map showing the fort erected to protect Newport during the French and Indian War. Peter Harrison, 1715 or 16 to 1775, was a noted architect of the Palladian style. He was commissioned to construct the fort in Newport during the French and Indian War, but the construction was not completed.
