Photograph of the United States Post Office and Courthouse in Carson City (now, the Paul Laxalt State Building), Nevada, ca.1895. A tall multistory building is visible in the center which displays a clock tower on its roof along with a flag pole the building's entrance shows four archways which are facing to the right. The corner of a sidewalk is observable in the foreground while a road runs along it. Trees and small buildings serve as the backdrop. Additional information: the building was designed by Mifflin E. Bell, Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department. Construction began in late 1888 and was completed in 1891.
