Description
Black and white photograph showing two missionaries from the Methodist Missionary Society, having tea in a shelter on a journey from Egedi in modern Niger. The female missionary is Emily Godfrey, Matron of the hospital run by the Methodist Missionary Society at Ama Achara in southeast Nigeria, and the gentleman is a Mr Lloyd. The pair drinks from mugs and using a thermos flask. The caption to this image reads: "E.G [Emily Godfrey] & Mr Lloyd having tea by wayside from Egedi." This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey.
