Description
Photograph of La Fiesta de Los Angeles celebration, ca.1909. A float covered in flowers and leaves stands on a dirt road in the center while women dressed in lightly colored Victorian style dresses sit around the float. The women wear sashes across their shoulders while two young girls can be seen standing in the middle of the women. A man wearing a metallic headband sits at the front of the float while the tail of what seems to be a horse can be seen flapping next to the man. A man wearing along coat and holding a metal pole with flowers at the top looks to the right while standing in front of the float. The top of the float is made of archways that sprout from the center. Photoprint reads "German Singing Society."
