Featured on page 171 of Electronics in the West with this caption: "Charles P. Ginsburg's Ampex laboratory about 1955 when the first videotape recorder was being designed and built. Many technical men doubted the possibility of a television recorder, and Ginsburg's team worked uphill much of the time. (Note picture tube in wooden slats)."
