“Missions Salésiennes. Chine. Nouveaux maries ̶ Ils sont graves…mais ils savent rire.” A newlywed couple and their guests pose after the wedding ceremony. The groom is dressed in a military uniform and the bride wears a floor-length white veil over an embroidered jacket and skirt. The following information is printed on the back of the postcard: “Procure des Missions Salésiennes. C.C.P. Lyon, 589.17 9, chemin de Fontanière, La Mulatière (Rhône).” “Cercle Missionnaire du Sanatorium du Clergé ̶ Thorenc ̶ “ is stamped in blue ink on the back. There is no handwriting on the back.
