View of the grand staircase of the Spanish Baroque style Peninsula Theatre, located at 1415 Burlingame Avenue in Burlingame. The Spanish influence is clearly visible throughout, in the building's design and decor. This theater originally opened as the Peninsula Theatre on October 12 1926, but was later renamed the Fox Burlingame Theatre. It closed in 1974 and was razed in 1975 to make way for a shopping center. Architects: William Day and Charles P. Weeks.
