“The school, Oct 1924.” Group portrait of the school student body, at the Chogoria mission school, mainly adult men and women with some younger children. The school started in 1923 and met in the open air and inside the church when it was built. The first school building was erected in July 1925. ❧ This image is from the first years of the Chogoria mission in Kenya, which was run by the Rev. Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974), from the collection entitled ‘Chogoria, 1922. The early days.”
