Photograph of the exterior of the Huntington Beach Grammar School, ca.1905. The two-story wooden building has a cupola and a chimney on the roof on top of the cupola is a flagpole supporting a large American flag. There are columns near the entranceway to the building, and in addition to providing a visual effect, they support a balcony on the second floor. There is a very large crowd of people gathered in front of the school, composed mostly of children, although there are several adults. In the foreground, there is a fence separating the schoolyard from a line of grass and an unpaved street.
