Photograph article dated March 2, 1963 partially reads, "Valley College's baseball team dropped its second non-conference game in five starts Friday afternoon, losing a 10-8 decision to Los Angeles City College on Pike Field in Van Nuys. The Monarchs scored six runs in the final three innings but fell short as the Cubs picked two runs apiece in the third, fourth sixth and seventh innings. A total of 15 errors marred the contest, nine by Valley. The Monarchs open Metropolitan Conference play Friday afternoon at Cerritos College."
