Photograph caption reads: "There was a whole lot of hamburger on the hoof clogging up the Golden State Freeway near Sunland yesterday after a truck overturned and spilled about 20 heifers and steers onto the highway. CHP and Los Angeles animal control officers, along with several urban cowboys, struggled for hours to round up the strays, finally shooting 11. By midnight last night, all the elusive dogies were rounded up." Photograph dated: Nov. 3, 1981.
