Description
Set of 12 World War II United States Army service medals earned by Sergeant Roland H. Willett. Includes: --> 3 ribbons on 1 rack with: --American Campaign Medal awarded to service members performing either one year of consecutive duty between December 7, 1941 to March 2, 1946 within the continental borders of the United States, or performing 30 days consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days of duty outside the borders of the United States but within the American Theater of Operations. The American Theater was defined as the entirety of the United States to include most of the Atlantic Ocean, a portion of Alaska, and a small portion of the Pacific bordering California and Baja California. --"EAME Ribbon", the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 1 bronze star is awarded for any service performed between December 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946 provided such service was performed in the geographical theater areas of Europe, North Africa, or the Middle East. For those service members who participated in one or more military campaigns, Service Stars are authorized to be worn on the medal. --Awarded for service in US Armed Forces between 1941 and 1946. --> 2 U.S. Army Branch Insignia badges --> 1 Combat Medics Badge: Any member of the Army Medical Department, at the rank of Colonel or below, who is assigned or attached to a medical unit (company or smaller size) which provides medical support to a ground combat arms unit during any period in which the unit was engaged in active ground combat is eligible for the CMB. According to the award criterion, the individual must be performing medical duties while simultaneously being actively engaged by the enemy. --> 1 Rifle Proficiency Badge --> 2 U.S. Army Medical (Enlisted) Branch Insignia Badges: Represent each individual service member's specific field of service. --> 1 Bayonet and Grenade Proficiency Badge --> 1 Good Conduct Medal with bronze 2 knot device --> 1 European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal: Service in the European - African- Middle Eastern theater for 30 days. --> 1 American Campaign Medal: Service outside the U.S. in the American theater for 30 days. --> 1 World War II Victory Medal: Service in US Armed Forces between 1941 and 1946.
