Description
Hosmer C. Copeland was the first Sheriff of Tehama County appointed when the county was formed in 1856. A native of Ohio, born in 1823 and coming to Tehama County in 1852. He owned a 1400 acre ranch three miles from Red Bluff on the east side of the Sacramento River
