Description
A three-quarters length studio portrait of Medora ("Dora") Hereford and Maria de Jesus ("Sue") Wilson (later Shorb). Dora, on the left, is wearing a black top with exposed shoulders, a light colored skirt with black trim, a sheer, gauzy shawl with black trim, a large crucifix necklace, and several rings. Her hair is pulled up on either side of her head, with tight curls hanging down. Sue, on the right, is wearing a dress with vertical stripes and exposed shoulders. Her hair is pulled back, and decorated with wide ribbons. They are holding each other's right hands, with Dora resting her left hand on Sue's shoulder, and Sue holding a small book(?) in her lap with her left hand.
