Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Alamo Hotel in Holtville, showing a band among a larger group of people congregated in the front, 1910. The light-colored, two-story hotel building is at center. Seventeen curvilinear parapets wrap around the building above a series of columns that frame the large second-story wrap-around balcony. Indented, the first story is primarily a series of large windows from the floor to the ceiling. On the left, at lease fifty people are congregated at the front of the building, where there is a small band, as well as on the balcony near an American flag that appears to be tied to one of the columns. Two empty dirt roads intersect in the foreground.
