Description
Benjamin Silliman, Sr., letter, 1863 November 10, to Faith W. Hubbard (née Silliman). "As you desired so particularly to hear from Edith I take advantage of the few moments of quieit which the morphone affords to tell you that yesterday more symptoms of betterment, in a better skin and pulse and some moisture made us hope for a change, but the night was the most disheartening[?] one she has passed." -- first line.
