An estimated 300 demonstrators standing behind a tall fence swarm berth 178 at Los Angeles Harbor, where a Soviet Cargo ship docked about 2:00 pm on Tuesday. The protesters, mostly Koreans, shouted anti-Soviet slogans for nearly an hour. Though loud, no violence or arrests were reported, as a handful of police officers from L.A. stood close by. Photograph dated September 7, 1983.
