Photograph caption dated July 29, 1959 reads "Dr. Peter D. Ward, nationally known hospital leader from Chicago, after one-day tour, praised Valley Presbyterian Hospital for 'exceptionally fine standards of patient care.' He urged Valley residents to support hospital's current building drive. With him are Dr. Joseph C. Clay, left, chief of hospital's medical staff, and administrator Henry X. Jackson."
