Carolina Biquard writes to Peter Drucker to discuss her husband Jorge's new novel. She relates her husband's background and the history of his family, which includes his uncle Jose Alfredo Martinez de Hoz, the Minister of Economics during Argentina's military government, his great, great, grandfather who was the founder of the Sociedad Rural Argentina, and his grandfather who was owner of Chapadmalal and Haras Chapadmalal a race horse farm. She goes on to discuss Argentina's depression and government corruption and how much Drucker's advice and encouragement have meant to her and her colleagues. She asks his advice concerning achieving a balance between Compromiso's growth and commitment to its vision and capacity to adjust. She ends by informing him of her upcoming work with the Dutch company, C&A.
