Description
This was the view on Long Beach's Ocean Boulevard, as a colorful parade wended its way toward City Hall in observance of Armistice Day--anniversary of the day the guns stopped firing on the Western Front. Thousands lined the Boulevard to watch the spectacle sponsored by the United Veterans Council, and to pay tribute to those who died in wars. Photo dated: November 11, 1953.
