Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated August 13, 1963 reads, "Mr. and Mrs. George B. Hovey, residents of Burbank since 1936, were honored on their golden wedding anniversary by a hundred friends and relatives at a celebration given by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Libby of San Francisco. The Hoveys, married in Kansas City, Mo., are members of the First Christian Church, Burbank. Mrs. Hovey is member of several clubs, while her husband, a retired employe [sic] of Lockheed Aircraft Corp., is a member of the Burbank Elks Lodge 1497. Both belong to the 'Fun After 40' group. A reconditioned Bible, which had been in their family for the past 98 years, was presented to the couple."
