Description
Photograph of a view of the cliffs at Santa Monica's Palisades Park from the beach, ca.1910. The tall rocky cliffs stretch across the image from the foreground at right into the distance at left. The bases of the bluffs are overgrown with bushes, while an assortment of trees lines the top. A wooden fence also runs along the top of the cliffs at center. A line of utility poles runs parallel to the cliffs in the foreground, and next to the poles is the Pacific Coast Highway, which is bordered by a wooden fence. The foreground is occupied by a large sandy expanse that is sparsely covered with low bushes.
