Annotation translation: "To Rev. Christ, President of the Basel Mission. Inspector Frohnmeyer laying the foundation stone of the Melparamba Church, 27th Nov. 1910. Respectfully dedicated by Gustav Peter, missionary in Palghat, Malabar." - "Rev. Henry Menzel. Old lady is Mrs Dupen, 78 years old, 78-year-old mission [? Illegible], Palghat. The missionaries Schrenk, Hauer, Knobloch, Benner, Scheuer, Peter and Kühner, and their wives. Children: 1 = Luisli Peter, 2 = Kathe Kühner, 2 [sic] = Margritli Peter, 3 = Ilse Kühner."
Annotation: "An Herrn Pfarrer Christ, Präsident d. Basler Mission. Ecksteinlegung zur Melparamba Kirche 27.Nov. 1910 durch Herrn Inspektor Frohnmeyer. Mit hochachtungsvoller Widmung von Gustav Peter . Missionar in Palghat, Malabar." - "Pfarrer Henry Menzel. Alte Dame Mrs. Dupen 78 jährige Missions... [Entzifferung unklar] Palghat. Missionare: Schrenk, Hauer, Knobloch, Benner, Scheuer, Peter u. Kühner mit Frauen. Kinder: 1 Luisli Peter, 2 Kathe Kühner, 2 [sic] Margritli Peter, 3 Ilse Kühner."
