Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 18, 1963 reads, "Nestle Avenue School PTA, Tarzana, and residents within the school community have initiated a project to enlist the 31st District PTA and the Board of Education in securing sidewalks for the safety of their children on their routes to and from school. This picture taken from the southwest corner of Tarzana Dr. and Lindley Ave., looking east along Tarzana Dr., shows children forced to detour around parked car and truck into the middle of the street. Illegal shrubbery on both sides of the street obstruct walk pathways. The City Council will hold a hearing today in the downtown council chambers."
