Decrepit houses with laundry drying on lines abuts a processing plant for hides and skins. Two men are unloading hides from a pickup truck with a sign: "Maclean Bros., Inc., Hides & Skins, 2460 E. 8th St. Los Angeles". Wooden drying racks are in the yard next to the truck and a stack of burlap bags lays at the driveway entrance. Photo dated: Mar. 29, 1949.
