Photograph of an aerial view of Venice looking west, 1918. A pier with a roller coaster is visible on the left side of the picture, the only structure jutting out into the water from the straight shoreline. The streets that are visible do not intersect in a traditional grid pattern instead, they intersect at unusual angles, creating several "Y" shaped intersections. The CHS-10032A image is a reverse of the actual layout.
