Photograph caption dated May 6, 1961 reads "Kriste Giminez, 12 years old and eligible to compete in senior women's swimming competition, is hopeful she can compete in the 200-meter individual medley in the nationals in August. Representing the West Valley Swim School of Canoga Park and coached by Niels Madsen, the North Hollywood girl recently swam the 200-meter individual medley in senior women's competition in 2:50."
