Photograph article dated March 20, 1961 partially reads, "Tight knee-length pants, bathing suits as light as a feather and skirts above the knees... these are fashion items that will make news next year, according to Valley designer Jane Ford who is currently sketching 1962 lines in swimwear and sportswear. Jane (Mrs. Fred Lowey in private life) is one of three top designers for Caltex of California (recently purchased by Peter Pan of New York.) She also designs sportswear for Walter Bass of Beverly Hills." Photograph caption reads, "Kitty's capers - Tarzana designer Jane Ford is interrupted from her sketching by curious 'Pearl,' who wants to see exactly what her mistress is doing. Jane was photographed on the terrace of her hill top home."
