View of Mission Santa Barbara with its two towers. In foreground are picket fences and an orchard. The photgraph is a sepia image with a yellow border.
Printed on recto: Mission Santa Barbara. Founded December 4, 1786 by Father Fermin Lasuen. This was the tenth mission in the California chain. Named for Saint Barbara. This mission had a complex water system which included dames, reservoirs and aqueducts. It is the only California mission with two similar towers. Also called Santa Barbara, Virgen y Martir and 'Queen of the Missions'. This image has a yellow border and is mounted on a gray card.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 24-bit RGB color. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
