Description
Photograph of the painting "A Bronc to Breakfast" by Charles M. Russell depicting a bucking horse and several cowboys, 1908. At center, the thrashing horse attempts to throw its rider, destroying the camp's breakfast-site and fire in the process. Nine cowboys look on, some attempting to help, some unarrested, continuing to eat their breakfast. Other horses, both manned and unmanned, seemed unalarmed by the activity. A cowboy at front left shies away below the rampaging bronco.
