Julio Adolfo Rey Prendes, one of the founders of the Salvadoran Christian Democratic Party, at a Constituent Assembly meeting in the capital, San Salvador, El Salvador. His crossed hands lay in front of him on a desk. Rey Prendes was mayor of San Salvador from November 1979 to December 1981, and was then elected Deputy to the constituent Assembly from April 1982 until December 1983. In 1988, he left his party and founded a new party, the Christian movement (MAC).
