Photograph caption dated October 14, 1955 reads, "G. W. Carr, right, director of administration of Marquardt Aviation, accepts Fire Department's plant protection award for organizing groups of employes [sic] to take effective action against fires or disasters which may occur at plant. From left are L. E. Dunn, chief engineer; Victor Carter, city fire commissioner; Ray Hill, fire prevention chief, and Carr. Awards also went to Thermalectric Corp., Century Engineering and Western Hydraulics."
