Portrait of an indigenous boy with a small monkey sitting on his head.
The back of the postcard is blank and contains a printed title: "Congo. - 1. Deux bons amis. Ils ont bien consenti a se laisser photographier, mais on les sent, l'un et l'autre, a bout de patience." ("Two good friends. They consented to be photographed but....") The back also contains information about the publisher, "Ed. Jesuites Missionnaires, 6, Rue d'Auvergne, Lyon," and the printer, "Imprimerie M. Lescuyer, Lyon."
