Image of a perspective view of the American House showing a street view with pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages. The American House hotel was located on Hanover Street in Boston, Massachusetts, and was operated by Lewis Rice and Son.
Probable date based on advertisements in Boston Globe that reference Lewis Rice & Son as proprietors. "J.H. Bufford's Lith. 260 Washington St. Boston."--text, bottom margin centered. "The American House with the addition is the largest and best arranged Hotel in New England, possessing all the Modern improvements for the accommodation of the travelling public."--text, bottom margin centered.
