Description
(PJ 02.2002). Note translation: A photograph is pasted to the rear of the mount which was evidently considered for the offical collection and then rejected (a large pencilled diagonal cross has been drawn on it). Its quality is poor, but a group of African women can be seen dancing around a white figure in front of a two-storey mission house. The Spellenberg family also possess this image. Their version has a caption: "Women of Bombe doing a dance of welcome for Werner Spellenberg, 1909". (PJ 02.2002).
