Description
Two women depicted in an elaborate marble room. The woman on the right wears a navy bonnet with matching ruffles and ribbon. Her dress is deep forest green with jagged edges and pleats. Over her dress is a navy coat with a quilted pattern and ruffles down the center front. The woman on the right wears a brown bonnet with yellow ribbon. Her dress is silver with military style fastenings down the front. Over her dress is a brown coat with black lace in tiers trimming the skirt. Behind the women is a double staircase with two columns, an urn, and a statue of a women, all in the classical style. Two women climb the stairs on the left, and a single man in red military uniform and a bicorn hat leans over the stairs on the right.
