Photograph article dated August 19, 1964 partially reads, "When Morris Williams served as postmaster of the rural community of Pacoima in 1922, he provided service for less than 200 families. Williams, 74, who opened Pacoima's first general store in 1921, was the area's third postmaster, and served for 10 years. During that time he developed the post office from a fourth class to a third class facility, whole establishing the Valley's first rural delivery route in 1924. Williams, who moved to the Valley March 10, 1921, with his wife, Rose, operated a general store at 13132 Van Nuys Blvd. for 30 years." Photograph caption reads, "Post office - Morris and Rose Williams, who operated the Pacoima post office for 10 years from 1922 to 1932, look over their old general delivery boxes now on display at Pacoima Chamber of Commerce."
