2012-1293.
Born in New York in 1838. Came overland to Susanville in 1858. Worked as carpenter and accountant until 1871 when went to work for U.S. Land Office. Served as county treasurer, in 1877 elected to the California Senate representing Butte, Plumas and Lassen County. Died in Los Angeles in 1909.
