Description
The report in part produced by the 1947 Sacramento Board of Education established, “the purpose of this statement [was] to furnish information relative to the financial condition of the Sacramento City Unified School District and the $3,938,000.00 bond issue voted by the people March 27, 1947, by a vote of 15,198 “yes” to 2,226 “no” votes.” The bonds aim to address the growth of Sacramento in population and how the school district can accommodate for the growth with improvements to school lots, buildings, additions, and new building purchases.
