Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 17, 1961 partially reads, "Enthusiasm toward a hobby is a great quality. Gene Haskins of Burbank has that quality. His collection of more than 200 firearms is a family affair. An Arkansas boy, Gene started his collection 11 years ago. His attractive wife Kay is his biggest booster. She designed the gun-rack wall in the family den. Haskins has instructed his two boys and foster daughter in gun safety. No one touches the weapons unless he is there. Guns on the wall are to be admired not played with as far as the two young boys are concerned." Pictured are Gene Haskins and son Michael, 8.
