Description
Photograph of Boy Scouts dishing out food at a summer camp in Tahquitz Valley, ca.1930. A lightly colored tent sits on the left and a young boy holding a metal cup is standing in front of it. He is forming a line behind men and other boys holding plates they are either waiting to be served or being served with food. In the center, one of the young men who is seen to be serving food with a ladle to pour what appears to be soup into a small pan of a man standing first in the line. Other young men helping with the food are standing on the other side of a long table with large containers sitting on top of it. Another man is seen to the right staring down towards the direction of oversized pots which seem to be sitting on a large grill. Trees and thick vegetation are seen in the background.
