Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph article dated April 10, 1961 partially reads, "Dangerous Davey Moore, one of the most capable little men ever to wear the featherweight crown, is a solid 3-1 choice over Danny Valdez in California's first championship bout of 1961 tonight at the Olympic. The 15-round contest will not be televised or broadcast and is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. A crowd of 7,500 is expected... Valdez, 21-year-old Mexican who was born in East Los Angeles, earned this title chance when he twice defeated Ricardo Gonzalez of Argentina last year. At the time, Gonzalez was the second ranking 126-pounder." In this photograph, Danny Valdez is pictured with his mother, Mrs. Julia Valdez. Photograph also used in article dated August 13, 1964.
