Description: Side entrance of the stūpa. Outer boundary wall and concentric circles of stone pillars that would have supported the Vatadāgē of Thūpārāma Stūpa. The Buddhist flag is flown on full-moon days and especially the one in May, to commemorate Vesak, the holiest day in the Buddhist calendar, the birthday of the Buddha.
