Photograph caption dated January 22, 1980 reads, "A group of Taft High School students in Woodland Hills demonstrated yesterday in front of the school, protesting Paul McCartney's imprisonment in Japan for possession of marijuana. The ex-Beatle has spent six days in jail following his arrest Thursday at the Tokyo airport. Protest organizer Zinette Ghaemmagani, 16, said, "Paul's done so much for the music business that we want to show him his fans are standing behind him no matter what." The small group of protesters, some decked out in Beatles paraphernalia, marched peacefully around the school singing several old McCartney tunes."
