Description
Photograph of a view of the balcony foyer and the exterior lobby of the Mayan Theater, ca.1925. The image is a composite photograph showing two individual scenes in the theater: the left image shows the double set of stairs and the ornamental balustrade that leads to the balcony level of the theater. A set of drawers is flanked by a chair to either side just in front. To the right, the Mayan temple-inspired exterior lobby is shown, with relief brickwork or paneling covering the doors, floor and walls of the entranceway. On the far wall, a collection of photographic head shots can be seen, assumedly of people involved with the theater.
