Photo of Sandy Koufax in a news conference at Dodger Stadium. Sanford Koufax born Sanford Braun on December 30, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, was an American baseball player during the 1950s and 1960s. A left-handed pitcher, Koufax played his entire 11 year career, 1955-1966, for the Dodgers franchise of Major League Baseball. This image was taken at the 50th anniversary celebration. 11 players from the 1955 team were present. Photo dated August 27, 2005
