Description
Black and white photograph printed on a postcard showing a young Nigerian boy with tribal markings temporarily painted onto his body. This image comes from a photograph collection kept by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Methodist Hospital at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria, from 1921 to 1944. The hospital was run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society.
