Original print is of inferior quality. Photograph article dated November 25, 1959 partially reads, "Several avenues of appointment to the United States Air Force Academy exist and applicants need not have super mentality to qualify, Lt. Col. James H. Brown, 1114 N. Orchard Dr., Burbank, is pointing out these days. He stressed this point in a talk before the Van Nuys Air Reserve Center. 'Too many people think the Academy is beyond the reach of their capabilities,' said Colonel Brown. 'Actually young men between 17 and 22, single with well-rounded personalities and good basic intelligence can win appointment. The main ingredient is the sincere desire to be there.'... The Academy is interested in youths from junior high level up through college."
